Excellent, we’re back to no-one agreeing with anyone else:

1. Hibike! Euphonium
2. Plastic Memories
3. Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic
4. Ore Monogatari!!
5. Show By Rock!!

You may think the top five looks deceptively similar to last week, but if you take a closer look at the scores… The trend graph for the season is going to be quite interesting.

Yup, every single show on the list you see above got votes. It’s quite incredible. To break into the top five, you just need 50% support. This season is going to be a lot of fun to track!

Plastic Memories only manages to desperately cling on to the edge of the cliff that it scaled last week. This is probably the sharpest drop ever (since I’ve been tracking this stuff, which isn’t all that long, but still), beating Fate/Stay Night from Fall 2014. A harem-y episode can do that to a show that shouldn’t have touched such story elements. It’s also nowhere to be seen in the general APR. If there isn’t urgent and complete course correction this week, it’s probably going to sink out of sight before I even begin to graph trends this season.

Ninja Slayer made it on the cusp of the general APR. I didn’t know the backstory behind it’s making, and I just watched it as another show. And it was horrible. Never before have I had to check the time remaining for a short that I was watching at 2x, and then groan when I realized I was only 3/4th of the way through it. Apparently it is meant to be that way, I was unaware of this. But it’s too late to change my impression of it now, it will always be remembered as the worst piece of moving cutouts I’ve ever seen.

Show By Rock!! is another popular show that I personally can’t stand, but here I’m overruled by others, as you can see in the rankings above. It’s doing quite well and seeing how hard it is to get any sort of consensus going, it’s probably going to keep poking it’s head at the very top since it’s a stupid show that’s working as entertainment, and it’s not hard to keep up stupid. I would much rather see it have the crap beaten out of it by Yamada-kun or LOKI-HESTIA, but you can’t get what you want in a democracy. Gotta believe in the majority that’s not even really a majority with 50% backing, but that’s how it is.

Kekkai Sensen is not nearly as popular here, but hey if you’re following this blog, you’re probably here for more Kiniro Mosaic anyway (or you should be). Ore Monogatari couldn’t quite keep up in the general APR. It’s better off here. Then we have Fate/Stay Night which already has so many problems since ufotable chose the wrong route to animate and should have just picked Heaven’s Feel because that’s just better and darker and more coherent, and believable, and fits in well with Fate/Zero, but instead they’ve gone with the fatally flawed Unlimited Blade Works where we’re going to be treated to some amazing MC bullshit in the coming episodes, and I know this because they are staying true to the source material so far, and that’s a bad thing because THEY CHOSE THE WRONG VERSION OF THE SOURCE. Anyway, it’s still a popular show apparently, I just watch it for the clouds.

So will Plastic Memories drop out of the top 15 next week? Will Show By Rock be #1? Will Yamada-kun turn into a linear programming problem where he will need to find the minimum number of people to kiss to make sure everyone is in their own body? I don’t know? Do you KNOW? DO you? Do YOU? I guess no-one knows, we’ll just need to come back and see next week.
