PP Power Rankings – Mar 15 2015

This post brought to you by the goodwill of the following sponsors:
Tempest Judge, expert criminal negotiator
Darkray Disaster, CERN physicist
Silent Diva, renowned talk show host and stand up comedian

With special thanks to:
Equipment Smith, game developer at 343 Industries (previously with Bungie)

And now for the less important stuff, like the weekly rankings:

1. Shirobako
2. Death Parade
3. Junketsu no Maria
4. THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls
5. Koufuku Graffiti

Just the zoomed graph this time, mainly because you really can’t see anything when you include Shirobako, with everything just bunched up at the bottom. But if you still want to have a look, you can go here.

Two new entrants this week, one of course, is our sponsoring show, and the other proof that people have no taste:

A quick comparison with the general APR shows that we agree with ranks 1, 2, 3, and 6. Shigatsu is pretty close too, #8 here as compared to 7. Yurikuma Arashi is doing a bit better here, as is the Idolmaster and Koufuku Graffiti (both of which don’t even feature there); while Jojo and Parasyte do better over there – Parasyte being a significant difference.

Whatever be the case, this week is dedicated to our sponsors. Boundless was kind enough to provide some context:

Despite its best efforts, Absolute Duo scored a point this week for its most unintentionally funny episode yet. They introduced the secret Reign Council who has been pulling the strings all along. This was supposed to be ominous and partly intimidating but ended up being hilarious due to the audacity of their give-no-fucks, chuuni naming scheme. The council members have names like Tempest Judge or Darkray Disaster, with a woman who greets Diabolica before being introduced as Silent Diva. The singularly impressive reveal of the episode was the main villain who runs an advanced weapons research division: Equipment Smith. Take a moment to let that sink in and bask in the truly ridiculous glory of that name. This is cinematic gold; you can’t make this shit up.

Behold the Silent Diva, as she praises our education system:

Silent Diva [HorribleSubs] Absolute Duo - 10 [720p]

Well said Madam, well said.
