SKIP THE CHATTER I WANT TO PLAY WATCH SOME CARD GAMES!
Week 3 Verdict:
WIXOSS has definitely improved from last week. The main cast has been assembled and almost everyone’s motivations have been mentioned. Some silly subplots things like not having friends and apparent NTR have been covered but not tied off, giving a degree of satisfaction. We’ve also been teased with a little more complexity in the card game, although they seem hell bent on not explaining it (not that that’s a bad thing).
As an addendum, here are some details and possible foreshadowing that I noticed:
- From hints in the opening, I’m guessing Tama may try to manifest herself in the real world.
- The Black and Blue Idols (those are their names now) have mirroring cards and personalities: Blue Idol and Black card are cheery but mean-spirited, while Blue card and Black Idol are stoic and solemn.
- Ruko’s grandma is apparently a game designer and keeps reappearing, when the brother completely disappears. She may have some part in the origin of WIXOSS.
See you next week.
